　　顯赫富商一原高顯（北村總一朗 飾）病故，他的親屬們齊齊來到高級(jí)日式客棧“回廊亭”舉行斷七法事，當(dāng)然最令他們關(guān)心的還是遺產(chǎn)分配事宜。每個(gè)人都心懷鬼胎，渴望獲得最大利益，也格外防備著其他人的算計(jì)，所謂親情變得不值一提。就在這一關(guān)鍵時(shí)刻，一名神秘而美艷的女子突然出現(xiàn)在一原家面前，她自稱本間美代子（常盤貴子 飾），是與死者生前頗有淵源的老婆婆的女兒。夜深人靜，做夢發(fā)財(cái)?shù)呢澙分藳]有等到他們的遺產(chǎn)，反而等來死神的光臨。破滅的愛情，破敗的人生，曾經(jīng)種下的惡緣種子，在回廊亭開始發(fā)芽。　　本片根據(jù)東野圭吾的原作小說改編。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
