　　為給身患重病的父親交付醫(yī)藥費，電工文斯（薩姆·賴利 Sam Riley飾）不得已賣掉了房子。一次偶然的機會，文斯在他修理的房間里得到房主的一封神秘信件和一張不知道終點的火車票。一面是房主的離奇意外死亡和完全未知的危險旅程，一面是一筆足夠改寫人生的巨額財富，文斯最終還是決 定踏上這次神秘旅程。然而當他抵達隱蔽的目的地之后，等待他的卻是一場無法全身而退的瘋狂殺人游戲。　　本片翻拍自2005年法國犯罪驚悚影片《百萬殺人游戲》（13 Tzameti），依舊由原作導(dǎo)演兼編劇的格拉·巴布魯阿尼執(zhí)導(dǎo)與編劇。薩姆·賴利、米基·洛克、杰森·斯坦森、雷·溫斯頓等多位硬漢同臺演繹這場生死博弈。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
