The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
少林傳人
狄龍,爾冬升,白彪,艾飛,詹森野心勃勃的九王爺（白彪 飾）企圖謀權(quán)篡位，落敗的皇帝（艾飛 飾）命令兩名侍衛(wèi)將兩個(gè)皇子分別抱走，以延續(xù)皇家血脈。大太子（狄龍 飾）被送到了少林寺，三個(gè)瘋瘋癲癲的和尚收留了他，替他取名道行，傳授其武功。二太子（爾冬升 飾）則被丞相（谷峰 飾）收為義子，改名為王子泰。 轉(zhuǎn)眼多年過去，某日，王子泰來到了少林寺，偶然遇見了道行，盡管他們彼此都不知道對(duì)方的身份和身世，但兩兄弟還是一見如故，很快就結(jié)下了堅(jiān)實(shí)的友誼。九王爺買通了寺廟內(nèi)的僧人，想要將道行和王子泰斬草除根，無奈之中，兩人逃出了少林，踏上了充滿危險(xiǎn)的未知之旅。
著牛仔褲的鐘馗
成奎安,葉蘊(yùn)儀,王小鳳,葉子楣香德祖（成奎安 飾）是一名香港皇家警察，他的老婆（王小鳳 飾）懷孕待產(chǎn)，夫妻二人親密非常。這一日，他們?nèi)メt(yī)院檢查的路上，遭遇一伙銀行劫匪。出于職責(zé)，香拋下妻子奮勇上前追擊。經(jīng)過一番追車和搏斗，香制服歹徒，卻被匪首暗算，致使鋼筋穿胸而死，尸體被埋于亂鐵之中。是夜，一只黑貓?zhí)舷愕纳眢w，剛好猛雷劈下，香竟奇跡般復(fù)蘇，變成活脫脫的僵尸。他復(fù)活后力大無比，但害怕陽光，還需要定期充電。香自知時(shí)日無多，決定對(duì)妻子隱瞞這個(gè)秘密，并將銀行劫匪繩之以法?！ ×硪环矫妫送疆?dāng)初逃跑時(shí)劫持少女Gucci（葉蘊(yùn)儀 飾）為人質(zhì)，混亂中Gucci拿著裝錢的箱子逃跑。憤怒的劫匪四下尋找Gucci，當(dāng)他們得知香還在人間之時(shí)，一番正邪大戰(zhàn)在所難免……
電視臺(tái)風(fēng)云
費(fèi)·唐納薇,威廉·霍爾登,彼得·芬奇,羅伯特·杜瓦爾,尼德·巴蒂,比阿特麗斯·斯特雷特妻子的死給電視臺(tái)王牌主播霍華德（彼得·芬奇 Peter Finch 飾）帶來了沉重的打擊，使他陷入痛苦和悲傷中無法自拔。電視臺(tái)決定解雇已經(jīng)無心工作的霍華德，霍華德的老朋友麥克斯（威廉·霍爾登 William Holden 飾）成為了傳達(dá)這一噩耗的不二人選。得知自己即將被 解雇，為電視臺(tái)做牛做馬多年的霍華德十分憤怒，在第二天的節(jié)目上，他竟然向觀眾們預(yù)告，自己即將進(jìn)行自殺直播?；羧A德的這一出格舉動(dòng)惹惱了電視臺(tái)的高層，更讓一直對(duì)麥克斯心存不滿的總裁弗蘭克（羅伯特·杜瓦爾 Robert Duvall 飾）發(fā)現(xiàn)了找茬的機(jī)會(huì)。在隔天的新聞直播中，霍華德理應(yīng)按計(jì)劃對(duì)自己的不慎言行做出道歉，可是惱羞成怒的他卻大放厥詞，將矛頭直指當(dāng)代美國(guó)的種種弊端。女制片人戴安娜（費(fèi)·唐納薇 Faye Dunaway 飾）從霍華德的一系列行為中看出了商機(jī)，她買通了弗蘭克，成為了霍華德背后的推手。
微笑的山谷
米凱萊·里翁迪諾,羅馬納·馬喬拉·韋爾加諾,Giulio Feltri帶著過往傷痛，塞吉?dú)W只身一人前往「微笑之村」擔(dān)任代理教師。這座對(duì)負(fù)能量零容忍的小鎮(zhèn)，明明曾遭逢巨變，居民們卻笑口常開。原來，讓這座微笑之村風(fēng)光明媚的秘方，是一位能吸取人間苦痛的男孩，他的身體如祭壇，透過擁抱承擔(dān)全村的悲傷。他為人搭建快樂天堂，自己卻陷入無盡黑暗。塞吉?dú)W與男孩的相遇，攪亂了鎮(zhèn)上的平衡；那座煉獄之門，也終將反向人間敞開。
