一位是作風(fēng)矯健、機(jī)智幽默的聯(lián)邦特工威斯特(威爾·史密斯 Will Smith 飾),一位是愛耍聰明的易容大師高登(凱文·克萊恩 Kevin Kline 飾),這兩個看似一山不容二虎的狠角色卻被總統(tǒng)同時召見了,原因是授命他們一同追捕一名神秘毒辣的科學(xué)家連環(huán)殺手。威斯特和高登只好在摩擦碰撞中培養(yǎng)默契,竟然很快成為一對絕配拍檔。經(jīng)過調(diào)查,兩人發(fā)現(xiàn)原來幕后黑手竟然是曾經(jīng)的天才博士勒弗里斯(肯尼思·布拉納 Kenneth Branagh 飾),他因在一次實驗中失去雙腿,只好永久呆在輪椅上,然而殘缺的個性與對社會的怨恨讓他開始到處作亂,甚至發(fā)明了一架巨型的蜘蛛機(jī)器濫殺無辜,并企圖謀殺總統(tǒng),統(tǒng)治美國。危機(jī)迫在眉睫,威斯特和高登分頭來到新奧爾良,駕駛著一列布滿機(jī)關(guān)的火車迎戰(zhàn)蜘蛛博士,一場古怪武器間的斗智斗勇已悄然展開……
故事發(fā)生在二十世紀(jì)三十年代初期,莉蓮(簡·方達(dá) Jane Fonda 飾)前往維也納尋找自己曾經(jīng)的好友茱莉亞(瓦妮莎·雷德格瑞夫 Vanessa Redgrave 飾),到達(dá)目的地之后,莉蓮才知道,茱莉亞因為和法西斯支持者發(fā)生了激烈沖突而受傷住進(jìn)了醫(yī)院,之后不知所蹤。在莉蓮回歸自己的生活之后,她意外的收到了茱莉亞的來信,在信中,茱莉亞請求莉蓮幫助自己投運(yùn)五萬美元給反納粹組織,盡管這一舉動在當(dāng)時意味著巨大的危險,但是莉蓮還是答應(yīng)了茱莉亞,最終,兩個多年未見的好友在柏林重逢。然而,沒過多久,莉蓮便受到了茱莉亞的死訊,在悲痛之中,莉蓮明白,自己還有未完成的任務(wù)。
Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
生前是過氣女歌星的女鬼徐半香(張曼玉),算準(zhǔn)某名將要臨盆的孕婦會于某間醫(yī)院生產(chǎn),準(zhǔn)備投胎重新做人,不想,該孕婦被搖身變作某所高中教師的開心鬼(黃百鳴)送錯醫(yī)院,徐半香錯過投胎時機(jī)?! 樾剐念^之恨,徐半香開始想方設(shè)法捉弄開心鬼,最甚一次,她附身開心鬼班里女班長(袁潔瑩),令她跑到夜總會稀里糊涂地大鬧了一場,結(jié)果在該家夜總會尋歡作樂的一群流氓被抓,開心鬼受到無辜牽連,徐半香又得意又擔(dān)憂之時,開心鬼卻用愛來感化她,眼看皆大歡喜,出獄后的流氓不請自來。
