The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
格拉德貝克人質(zhì)事件
薩沙·亞歷山大·吉爾薩克,亞歷山大·謝爾,Marie Rosa Tietjen,阿爾布雷希特·舒赫故事發(fā)生在1988年的德國，漢斯（薩沙·亞歷山大·吉爾薩克 Sascha Alexander Ger?ak 飾）和迪特（亞歷山大·吉爾 Alexander Scheer 飾）搶劫了位于北威州格拉德貝克的德意志銀行，并且劫持了兩名銀行職員作為人質(zhì)，帶著他們一起踏上了逃往的旅途。 很快，負(fù)責(zé)此案的邁澤警探就展開了對于漢斯一行人的追捕。為了鉗制警方，漢斯的女友瑪麗昂（Marie Rosa Tietjen 飾）又劫持了一輛載有三十名乘客的公交車，來幫助男友脫離警方的追捕。因為歹徒手中的人質(zhì)數(shù)量眾多，導(dǎo)致德國警方遲遲無法下手，引來了輿論和媒體的不滿，與此同時，迪特在一次意外中射殺了年僅14歲的少年曼紐埃爾，這場死亡事件將整個故事推上了高潮。
廢柴同盟
曾志偉,吳鎮(zhèn)宇,邵美琪,黃卓玲,謝天華,盧海鵬,秦煌,林偉健電視臺的監(jiān)制阿南（曾志偉 飾）一直郁郁不得志，雖然才華橫溢，但是由于不善交際，做的都是一些冷門時段的節(jié)目。這日，他在一個公眾場合偶遇了過氣歌手阿Ken（吳鎮(zhèn)宇 飾），發(fā)現(xiàn)阿Ken想方設(shè)法都想上臺獻(xiàn)唱?？粗en的古怪舉動，阿南突然有了一個想法，發(fā)現(xiàn)了一條可以幫助二人成功的道路。阿南向阿Ken提出成為他的獨家代理人，并幫他重新包裝，保證他一定能咸魚翻身。原來，阿南的計劃就是讓Kenny裝瘋賣傻，全力吸引傳媒的視線，為了能再次踏上舞臺，阿Ken答應(yīng)了?！ 」蝗绨⒛纤?，Kenny的瘋癲行為引來了大批傳媒，他也迅速走紅。此時，電視臺為了能讓Kenny來上節(jié)目，只好滿足阿南的要求，將他調(diào)到熱門時段的節(jié)目讓他大展拳腳。正當(dāng)這對伙伴的事業(yè)一帆風(fēng)順時，一個艱難的抉擇卻擺在了阿南面前。
