Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　2012韓國(guó)電影《無情的城市》堪稱“韓國(guó)版《撞車》”，以9個(gè)人物為中心，講述他們?cè)?4小時(shí)內(nèi)發(fā)生的連環(huán)悲劇。李基英在片中飾演一位放高利貸的放債人，他放貸給面臨破產(chǎn)危機(jī)的金大宇(金石勛飾)，在金大宇沒能力償還高利貸后李基英就以此為借口威脅金大宇說要摘除他的臟器。特別是李基英在殺死自己的妻子后，當(dāng)他被指定為嫌疑人接受調(diào)查時(shí)面不改色、處變不驚、泰然處之的演技表現(xiàn)，令人感到毛骨悚然。
