一首母親(新高けい子 飾)生前哼唱過的手球歌,令少年阿明(三上博史 飾)魂?duì)繅?mèng)繞,不知所措。他曾為此求教過校長(zhǎng)和僧侶(伊丹十三 飾),然而沒人知道這支手球歌的來歷。他走過高山大海,見識(shí)過這個(gè)世界的光怪陸離,只為尋找困擾自己?jiǎn)栴}的答案。在此期間,童年和青年時(shí)代(若松武 飾)的記憶不斷交錯(cuò),阿明終于慢慢碰觸到記憶和內(nèi)心的最深處 本片根據(jù)泉鏡花同名短篇小說改編,這是演員三上博史的處女作,著名導(dǎo)演相米慎二則擔(dān)任了助理導(dǎo)演的職務(wù)。影片拍攝于1979年,但拍攝完畢后卻束之高閣,直到1983年寺山修司去世后才在他的追悼會(huì)上首次公開。

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
