一個(gè)明星的誕生1937

 艾斯特（珍妮·蓋諾 Janet Gaynor 飾）是懷揣著成名的夢(mèng)想，剛剛步入好萊塢發(fā)展的年輕女演員，在大明星諾曼（弗雷德里克·馬奇 Fredric March 飾）舉辦的慈善演出中，艾斯特大放異彩，成為了萬(wàn)眾矚目的焦點(diǎn)，而她和諾曼之間也相互吸引，漸漸產(chǎn)生了感情，就這樣，兩人走到了一起。諾曼用自己的人脈幫助艾斯特創(chuàng)造了一些演出機(jī)會(huì)，而艾斯特本身就是一個(gè)悟性非常高的女孩，擁有絕佳的表演天賦，沒(méi)過(guò)多久，她就成為了冉冉升起的新星，未來(lái)可期，前途無(wú)量。但相對(duì)的，艾斯特的成名反襯出了諾曼的過(guò)氣，他酗酒的毛病讓他的星途屢遭滑鐵盧。雖然妻子的優(yōu)秀令諾曼感到自豪，但沮喪和挫敗感亦在無(wú)時(shí)不刻的折磨著他。

 故事背景設(shè)定在16世紀(jì)的英國(guó)，海盜首領(lǐng)莫根船長(zhǎng)（拉爾德·克雷加 Laird Cregar 飾）受到國(guó)王查理的特赦，并被任命為牙買(mǎi)加總督。一位年輕而勇敢、機(jī)智而英俊的年輕人沃林（泰隆·鮑華 Tyrone Power 飾）決定跟隨莫根船長(zhǎng)前往牙買(mǎi)加。然而，莫根過(guò)去的下屬、狡猾而殘忍的里奇船長(zhǎng)（喬治·桑德斯 George Sanders 飾）卻拒絕接受莫根的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，繼續(xù)在海上進(jìn)行搶劫商船的行為。為了消滅海盜，沃林率領(lǐng)船隊(duì)出海，在航行途中偶然與里奇的“黑天鵝號(hào)”，并和其他兩艘船發(fā)生了遭遇戰(zhàn)。面臨險(xiǎn)境，沃林不得不機(jī)智地假裝前來(lái)投降并投靠里奇。通過(guò)巧妙周旋和激烈戰(zhàn)斗，里奇最終受到了懲罰，他的“黑天鵝號(hào)”徹底被摧毀。與此同時(shí)，貴族小姐瑪格麗特（瑪琳·奧哈拉 Maureen O'Hara 飾）對(duì)沃林從厭惡逐漸轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)榫磁?，最終產(chǎn)生了愛(ài)慕之情，展開(kāi)了一場(chǎng)曲折而離奇的愛(ài)情故事。

　　Sheila Hood is an ex-cop whose marriage is on the rocks. Rather than confronting her husband about an affair, she hides surveillance cameras in her home and watches his transgressions, becoming a voyeur of her own life. Her husband, Tom Kale, is an ornithologist who begins an affair with an ex-girlfriend, Merle James, whose beauty and fragility echoes that of the birds he studies. Ray Starling, the charismatic owner of a boutique hotel, is Merle’s lover, and has dealings with her father, Mr James, a powerful oil baron who operates in the shadows but whose influence touches the whole city. Merle’s younger sister, Hazel, is also drawn to Tom, but trapped in Starling’s web of power. Calvin is an cop whose loyalty to his ex partner, Hood, is tested when mounting evidence from her own surveillance tapes connects her and Tom to Starling’s murder, and perhaps even Merle’s mysterious death.
