 曾拍《大空頭》(The Big Short)聚焦美國(guó)次貸危機(jī)的導(dǎo)演亞當(dāng)·邁凱(Adam McKay)日前與派拉蒙簽約,將導(dǎo)演一部講述美國(guó)前副總統(tǒng)迪克·切尼(Dick Cheney)故事的傳記片。而布拉德·皮特的“B計(jì)劃”制片公司也將繼《點(diǎn)球成金》、《大空頭》后再次與邁凱合作,制作這部電影。迪克·切尼號(hào)稱(chēng)是美國(guó)歷史上最有權(quán)勢(shì)的副總統(tǒng),他也是現(xiàn)任美國(guó)副總統(tǒng)彭斯(Mike Pence)的效仿對(duì)象。布什當(dāng)政八年時(shí)間里,表面上切尼是美國(guó)的二號(hào)人物,但實(shí)際上小布什總統(tǒng)(George W. 好像一切都很糟糕

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night.   However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements.   Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
