政裴(李善均 飾)是一名專職漫畫人,雖然在畫技上有著不可比擬的天賦,但是在情節(jié)編排上的想象力匱乏讓他的漫畫屢屢遭到編輯的否定。一次偶然中,政裴得知了一個讓他心動不已的消息出版社以1億3千萬元的巨額獎金公開向社會征集優(yōu)秀的大人漫畫,看著對自己的編劇能力心知肚明的他知道,自己需要一個得力的合作人。與此同時,大人雜志專欄作家多琳(崔江熙 飾)卻剛剛因為自己過于豐富的想象力而慘遭解雇,急于尋找一份新的工作的她也被1億3千萬元的獎金吸引了。就這樣,政裴和多琳兩人一拍即合,開始了他們的合作歷程。為了得到獎金,兩人可謂不擇手段,甚至不惜入住了同一屋檐下,在打打鬧鬧的生活中,兩個年輕人之間也產(chǎn)生了奇妙的感情。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night.   However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements.   Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
